Entitlements

Entitlements are the rules determining which users may see and act on which clients, accounts and functions within a system.

What matters is where they are enforced. If access is restricted by hiding menu items and filtering rows on screen, the data still left the server and the control is cosmetic.

Enforced at the point the data is assembled, an unentitled request never had the rows to filter.
