Advisor code

An advisor code identifies which advisor an account belongs to, driving compensation, reporting and access rights.

Codes accumulate. Advisors change offices, inherit books and join teams, and the mapping that seemed simple at setup becomes the thing nobody wants to touch. Access derived from current facts survives that better than a maintained list of exceptions.
