Glossary · Billing and revenue
Average daily balance is a fee calculation basis that averages an account's value across every day of the billing period, rather than using a single point-in-time balance.
It is fairer to both parties than a period-end snapshot, and it is more sensitive to error, because a single bad valuation day propagates into the fee.
